Angle shooting occurs to confuse opponents in order to gain information and/or put them off balance. Here are a few examples.
- Mixing chip colors to make stacks hard to count or even hiding high value ones behind other stacks.
- Moving your chips to the middle without crossing the line to watch for reactions.
- Mis-disclosing your hand so your opponent mucks his cards thinking he is beaten.
- Although angle shooting is bad etiquette at its best and unethical at its worst, it’s sometimes hard to prove.
