2018 was a good poker year for me. Interestingly, my tournament play was more profitable than cash games. Musing over the results, the reason appeared to be related to playing tightly in tournaments; indicating I was also more patient. In a cash game, there’s always the opportunity to open your wallet and re-buy. In tournaments, for the most part, it’s one strike and out. The flip side leads me to believe I played looser in cash games. It’s something I’ll analyze a bit more in the new year. How did you do? If you don’t keep track of your wins and losses, do so this year…it’s a good learning experience.
