Jay Kennedy died in November 2024 at the age of 84. He was born in Berkeley
CA and lived in the Chico area for over a decade. Jay was a regular at Casino
99 and was often at the top of the POM and POY standings. He was a
cantankerous guy with tie-dyed hair who loved to play poker. His stats leave a
trail that confirms he was good at the game. To the dismay of others, Jay had
two idiosyncrasies: not wanting to pay the bubble and not chopping the prize
pool. Jay will be missed and stories about him will be retold.
